I remember watching a half-hour comedy special of his around the time he was on SNL, and he did the "Dead Elvis on a Fishhook." I thought it was hilarious, and thought he was a great ensemble cast member with Sandler, Farley, and Spade on SNL. Seemed to fit in well with that cast. Unfortunately, like all comedians that go conservative politically, he lost any semblance of humor or ability to make people laugh. Guys like him, Dennis Miller, Nick DiPaolo, and Adam Carolla all used to be hilarious, and now have basically sabotaged their careers by draining every ounce of humor from their acts and replaced it with some weird, angry, right wing ideology.I guess Rob Schneider has always been reprehensible person. But, . . ., I saw him do a set at a comedy club in Monroeville, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh, shortly before he was hired as a writer for SNL in the late 1980's. I had never even heard of him before that night. He was just fantastic. Nothing even remotely political about his work. His closing bit was "Dead Elvis on a Fishhook." No words, just a facial expression while slowly turning. Indescribably funny. A shame that he turned out to be a right-wing jackass. If Rick Blaine and Isla Lund can always have Paris, I guess Rob Schneider and I can always have "Dead Elvis on a Fishhook."
If he laughed much, which he almost never did in my presence.
How exactly does one “accidentally” upload that info to ChatGTP?![]()

My gosh.Trump administration secretly loosens nuclear safety rules : NPR https://share.google/eNHOYpbnx8lf5d1Hf
The Trump administration has overhauled a set of nuclear safety directives and shared them with the companies it is charged with regulating, without making the new rules available to the public, according to documents obtained exclusively by NPR.
The changes are to departmental orders, which dictate requirements for almost every aspect of the reactors' operations — including safety systems, environmental protections, site security and accident investigations.
NPR obtained copies of over a dozen of the new orders, none of which is publicly available. The orders slash hundreds of pages of requirements for security at the reactors. They also loosen protections for groundwater and the environment and eliminate at least one key safety role. The new orders cut back on requirements for keeping records, and they raise the amount of radiation a worker can be exposed to before an official accident investigation is triggered.

Look forward to who they cast for this part in the Coen Bros. telling of this tale.
