He is going to keep picking at this wound until they sell it to him, we take it by force, or he is thwarted politically. I know about the bipartisan bill to prevent this but let’s face it, he’s proven he will do whatever he wants as long as the blowback isn’t too bad an d no one physically tries to stop it. Even then he might lock all of Congress up and certain military leadership too if he feels he can get away with it. Completely out of control.

It would be interesting to know how much this is really about Greenland and how much is about convincing SCOTUS that tariffs are a tool of national security… or at least his power to levy tariffs is unlimited if he cites a national security purpose.
 


Raqqa is in northern Syria … are we working in concert with the new Syrian government or taking advantage of an opportunity?

The SDF are our Kurd allies who currently control Raqqa. Trump has abandonned plenty of Allie’s (including Kurds) before, so I’m just not clear what the U.S. position here is, especially given Trump cozying up to new Syrian leadership.

Kurds control the area but they are a minority there (Arabs are the majority). Without Assad/Russia in control of Syria, has the United States decided to abandon the Kurds to their fate and bet on the new Syrian government?

If he thinks this is going to help him with SCOTUS, I think he is mistaken. He is a madman, completely out of control.
