Trans is to gender dysphoria like wheelchairs are to polio or ALS. We definitely track statistics on people in wheelchairs and other disabilities. Any other claims you'd like debunked with three seconds thought?
Polio and ALS are physical conditions, not psychological conditions.

Ah! So you think it's not biological, but you're better positioned to make a judgment on this than the experts at the World Health Organization?

Transgender health issues will no longer be classified as mental and behavioural disorders under big changes to the World Health Organization's global manual of diagnoses.

The newly-approved version instead places issues of gender incongruence under a chapter on sexual health.

A World Health Organization expert said it now understands transgender is "not actually a mental health condition".
Gender Dysphoria is still in the latest Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).

Psychological conditions are physical, unless perhaps you think the pituitary gland channels our immortal souls that exist elsewhere.
Great. You should have no problem finding Polio and ALS in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) if what you're saying is accurate.

Move to strike as nonresponsive. You can answer the question if you're able.
I do not see race as a psychological disorder. It may be something people believe about themselves. It may be a social construct, but there's no reason to see it as a disorder.

I'll simplify this for you by repeating the question: "You're better positioned to make a judgment on this than the experts at the World Health Organization?"

And as for the DSM -- Gender Dysphoria Diagnosis

"The DSM–5 articulates explicitly that “gender non-conformity is not in itself a mental disorder.”

You sure you know what you're talking about here?

That's the opposite set-inclusion that needs to be proven. Super was saying A \subset B. You're talking about B \subset A. Those are two entirely different statements.

Like I said, Gender Dysphoria is in the iagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). The fact that they now decide to play politics isn't my fault or my issue.

So, for the sake of getting back on topic, I will call it a psychological condition. Race is not a psychological disorder or condition.

It really doesn't matter. The comparison of GD to polio or ALS doesn't work.

So you now know more about this than both the experts at the WHO and the experts at the American Psychiatric Association. I have to say, I'm impressed.

You're trying to change the subject. Race is not a psychological condition or disorder. You won't find "race" in DSM 5 any more than you'd find polio or ALS in DSM 5. Psychologists aren't trying to diagnose anyone's race condition.

i just wanna thank you all for making the last couple of pages of this thread extremely entertaining. especially zen and rouser!

top notch work, ladies and gents.
