Criminal neglect all around, but of course nothing is going to happen to any of these local, state, or federal officials that neglected dealing with any of this. They'll all just walk away scot-free. It will be interesting to see if Camp Mystic is allowed to reopen with no regard to safety improvements, and whether state and local officials just allow it to be rebuilt and reopen with no regard to the fact that much of the camp sits in a floodplain.
 

Active shooter faces violent death after bursting into border patrol building near major airport​


An active shooter who burst into a Border Patrol building and ambushed federal agents next to an airport in Texas has been killed.

The unnamed gunman entered the Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol building near McAllen International Airport early Monday morning.

He was shot and killed by federal agents, McAllen Police Department spokesman Sergeant John Saenz said during a press conference.

It is the Noem version and the DOGE automated response version of whether there is any actual issue with updating federal weather systems related to this tragedy in Texas. Noem suggested early on that notices to campers of flood risk may have been delayed the to necessary software improvements by the Trump Admin. No one knew what she was talking about and it sounded vague like the Feds could be to blame for failure to provide timely warnings and she has been cleaning up since, trying to clarify her intent was to blame Biden somehow.
