Hell, a major factor is that we focus on prohibition and criminalization instead of education and mitigation. How much less damage would drugs cause if the ones used were purified, properly identified and in controlled amounts? Add the ability to seek help without opening yourself to criminal charges. We. could hardly have a more counterintuitive approach.

And the overall law enforcement "plan" has always confused me . I met a lot of drug dealers in my Prison do-good stuff for about 20 years . Now they were all guilty and so they got what they signed up for. But way it works' local LE is "rewarded" for busting a few low level dealers every month , but they are 100% replaceable-no impact really on drug dealing in the community. Maybe I watch too ,many cop shows-but I don't understand why the "plan" isn't to work on just distrubting the Big boys .

This is the point where his kids need to come together and tell him in a stern but sympathetic tone, “Dad, it’s time you move into a home where you can have people around you at all times who can help take care of you.”
 
Would any of our board Trumpers and bosiders like to come here and defend any of this? He "doesn't know" if has to uphold the Constitution (he literally swore an oath to do just that at his inaugural). Basically saying flat-out that kids (and by implication their parents) need to make do with less in this brave new economy that he's building? And saying this gem: "We were losing hundreds of billions of dollars with China. Now we're essentially not doing business with China. Therefore, we're saving hundreds of billions of dollars. It's very simple." That statement is so inaccurate (and stupid) in so many ways.

Given that all we've heard from his defenders (and many "bosiders") is that he really knows what he's doing and his tariffs are just a negotiating tactic, do you think a man who really believes that by cutting off trade with China we're actually "saving hundreds of billions of dollars" does know what he's doing? Bueller? Anyone?
