Someone tell me how much it’s going to cost the American Taxpayer to retrofit this plane to replace Air Force One… it’s gonna have to go through immense safety and security upgrades, communication upgrades, defense upgrades in the form of countermeasures etc, it’ll need to be able to withstand fallout from a nuclear attack…I’m sure none of that comes on the Boeing order sheet.

Given that he issued an executive order as soon as he took office in January rolling back nearly all of Biden's initiatives to lower prescription drug costs - such as Biden's efforts to lower the price of Medicare and Medicaid prescriptions - I'm very dubious as to how much he really intends to do about this.

This wouldn’t be an issue if Boeing could simply finish and deliver the damn plane. It was supposed to be delivered during Trump 1.0. We can’t build anything any more outside Elon and Silicon Valley.

In all fairness, the upgraded AF1 is waaaaay behind schedule and over budget. The preference is to have three AF1 jets available (it is only AF1 if POTUS is aboard) to allow for rotation for repairs etc. so we were probably going to pay to retrofit something no matter what because Boeing is years from delivering the one ordered during the first Trump Admin. But also in fairness, even if you get over questions about a free long-term use on loan of this aircraft as a gift from a foreign country and if you can ever be certain it is free of clandestine surveillance devices, the reported structure of this deal to benefit Trump’s personal post-presidential use is obscene.

Maybe if Boeing actually adhered to their quality control protocols instead of pumping out faulty products in effort to maximize profits, things would be different.

And you'll never guess what is taking so long for the other Air Force 1 to be completed. I am sure the one he is getting from Qatar will be completed before the one that was ordered in <checks notes> Trump's first term.

I expect the price will jump on the 90-day suspension of higher tariffs on China/US trade and related resumption of trade between the two, but we’ll see.

But if they had quality control, then they couldn't produce something that equals the refinement of the Cybertruck.

Boeing needs to relocate to Charleston and shed woke Seattle. Totally embarrassing to have to resort to a foreign country to supply us AF1.
