We’ll see — the source is the defense attorney. But this seems to jive with other reports that the investigating agents saw this announcement as extremely premature — busting the investigation before they could follow the efforts of the suspects through several more steps from scary talk to radical action.
 


60M: have some of the ICE raids gone too far?
Trump: “nooooo I think they haven’t gone far enough because we’ve been held back by the judges, by the liberal judges that were put in by Biden and by Obama”

He indicates there is a process to be deported and return legally (for farm workers and landscapers and nannies I guess?)

As an aside, (a) I fully acknowledge that after the first two 60m interviews he did in 2022 and October 2023, Biden dodged this kind of interview with 60 Minutes as POTUS throughout 2024 but (b) Trump looks and sounds pretty rough here.

Iirc, Trump avoided anything but creampuff interviews in 2024 as well.
