CURRENT EVENTS — NOVEMBER

I completely agree that women’s sports are for females and men’s sports are for males. And I know you know this, but it’s not just the notion of protecting the sanctity of women’s sports that cause Republicans to treat transgender people so horribly. If it were only about sports, there wouldn’t be all of the other anti-LGBTQ hysteria emanating from the right wing. But again, I know you know this. We all know this.
Dude, don't respond to Zen about this topic, it's his favorite he will derail the thread if given any feedback about his beliefs that every man is greater than every woman in sports. It's part of his suppression of women in general and trans women specifically.

He's made it abundantly clear that he's anti trans, so don't get him started.

Lol....I want trans people to have every right that cis have. Get married. Have/adopt kids. Own a home. Vote.

Live your life exactly as you please.

But, if you're a biological male, you don't get to compete against biological females, for reasons we've ALL understood for decades.

It appears that the Trump Administration has reinterpreted a SNAP rule prohibiting stores that accept SnAP from offering discounts to customers who pay in cash (so charging SNAP recipients more for the same groceries than cash-paying customers) to also mean that grocery stores cannot offer discounts to SNAP recipients now while SNAP benefits are withheld of delayed during the shutdown.

SNAP Update: USDA Tells Grocery Stores Not to Give Discounts to Customers

“The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has told grocery stores not to give special discounts to around 42 million Americans who use food stamps.

… USDA emailed grocery stores around the country telling them not to offer special discounts or deals to SNAP recipients amid the freeze, warning that doing so would violate the program’s “Equal Treatment Rule.”

That rule requires stores to sell eligible food items to SNAP-EBT customers at the same prices and under the same conditions as other shoppers.

The email said: “Offering discounts or services only to SNAP-eligible customers is a SNAP violation unless you have a SNAP equal treatment waiver.” …”
These guys love punching down, even for no reason at all.

This is what Hamas/Palestinians would do to/in Israel if given the opportunity and means.

Blood spilled in Sudan can be seen from space. Nobody can feign ignorance about what’s going on

It unfolded in plain sight over 18 months. The city of El Fasher in the Darfur region of Sudan, besieged by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), fell to the militia group last week, and what has followed is a catastrophe.

Mass killings are under way. There are reports that in one maternity hospital alone almost 500 people – patients and their families – were killed. The few that managed to escape tell of summary executions of civilians. The RSF has embarked on a killing spree of civilians so severe that images of blood saturating the ground have been picked up by satellite. The speed and intensity of the killings in the immediate aftermath of the fall of El Fasher has already been compared by war monitors to the first 24 hours of the Rwandan genocide.

This is the culmination of a campaign that had walled in the population of the city – hundreds of thousands of people – and reduced it to starvation. Those who attempted to flee risked death and rape, and those that remained were bombed and surviving on nothing more than animal feed.

.........Since then, millions have been displaced, an estimated 150,000 have been killed, and more than 30 million people now need urgent humanitarian assistance. These staggering statistics still do not fully tell the story of Sudan’s tragedy, the country’s rapid unravelling, the destruction of its infrastructure, or the particularly merciless way the RSF has conducted its campaign in Darfur.

Do you think we should help those starving in the Sudan, or go to war in Sudan, or what exactly are you advocating for? Or are you merely using the Sudan tragedy as a jumping off point to remind us what you think of Palestinians?

There are multiple humanitarian crisis stories. The only one that gets any meaningful attention is the one involving Gaza. I'm just bring some attention to other stories.

He just wants to wet his beak a little. You know, like any good mobster, 10% off the topline will do nicely.
I think that in this case, it's less about money and more about getting to pretend to be a tough guy taking super macho actions.

it lets him pretend his isn't a wimp who used a fake medical condition to run away from military service during Vietnam.
