If a MAGA had been the one to do this then Trump would have given him a pardon (if convicted) and Trumpers on social media would have celebrated him as a "man's man" who knows how to show women who's boss. And a lot of MAGA women would have rationalized the guy's behavior on social media as well. That's what the Republican Party has devolved into.

Layoffs across the U.S. soared last month to more than 153,000, marking the worst October for job reductions in 22 years, according to outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

Guess what? The clean CR that the House passed expires on November 21. Thanksgiving is on November 27. The GOP always planned to use Thanksgiving travel disruptions for leverage, they just thought it would be a little later when this CR lapsed.
