I hate to keep beating this dead horse, but mere words cannot express how outraged I am at this latest insanity from a MAGA politician. In short:
1) Pollard sold information to Isreal about the routes and patrol areas of American nuclear missile submarines.
2) Why was this info of any interest to Israel?
3) Because Israel traded this information to Russia in exchange for Russia letting Jewish nuclear weapons scientists immigrate to Israel.
4) Thus, simultaneously modernizing Israel's nascent nuclear weapons arsenal and compromising the United States' security.
5) I get that people like Mike Huckabee fervently long for Armageddon, when he believes he will see all his enemies cast down into Hades.
6) But a fervently as Mike Huckabee wishes to see his enemies tormented in Hades, I just don't see facilitating the sophistication of Israel's nuclear arsenal as positive way of bringing Mike Huckabee's fantasies into reality.

ETA: I consider myself a Christian. I'm positive Mike Huckabee and his ilk would not believe I am a Christian. But I don't care what Mike Huckabee and his ilk think of my religious beliefs. But for the love of God, if Armageddon actually happens, it will be on God's timeline, not Mike Huckabee's

Pretty sure that this started out as a "ha ha, no one is really that stupid to believe this" type of joke. Still not sure how widespread the belief on this is. Maybe a couple of identifiable instances of people actually believing this is problematic? In today's attention economy I don't have much more time for thought about it. Bigger fish to fry.
 
Just got a text from Mark Kelly (D-AZ). He posted that he had flow 39 combat missions in the Gulf Wars, had flown in space four times, and his wife was nearly killed in a horrible political attack. But despite that, St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago still called on his supporters to murder him. No way we come back from this.
