We’re already living through an economic and sociopolitical unraveling. The sudden injection of many very capable AI models, like we’ve seen in the last 3-5 years, is going to be a big accelerant on top of the rising fascist authoritarianism.

The bourgeoise is restless and it’s going to get much worse, IMO.

I got a couple of friends working in BI and a couple in programming gigs. One is working on a math teaching credential, one is joining the family business, one is pondering law school [cringe], and one is whistling. All are confident they won’t have jobs in the industry in five years, even the whistling one.
 


BTW if you recognize that last name, Pulte is part of the Pulte home construction family/business.
