Not that she wants to come back... but he can't just revoke someone's citizenship because he's a petty bitch.

“… Ten of the 12 judges who spoke to NBC News said the Supreme Court should better explain those rulings, noting that the terse decisions leave lower court judges with little guidance for how to proceed. But they also have a new and concerning effect, the judges said, validating the Trump administration’s criticisms. A short rebuttal from the Supreme Court, they argue, makes it seem like they did shoddy work and are biased against Trump.
“It is inexcusable,” a judge said of the Supreme Court justices. “They don’t have our backs.”
All 12 judges spoke on condition that they not be identifiable, some because it is considered unwise to publicly criticize the justices who ultimately decide whether to uphold their rulings and others because of the risk of threats.…”
Congrats to that guy. Passed 4 out of five tests designed for a 6-year-old while he was wearing loafers. Guessing he really needed a story that day.
It's always stunning to me how cheap our gas is. Even when it spikes, it's dirt cheap compared to most of the world, and also in relative dollars to historical prices. Gas, even more than eggs, is pretty much the worst possible metric for prices across the market. The weekly grocery bill is a much better one for the average person, and there's not a person who's not paying a good bit more now than at this time last year.As we all know, the “price of gas” is always a major grievance against Dem presidencies. For the record, we’re 9 months in and I just paid $3.19 for 87 Unleaded this morning. A little bit more than I was paying this time last year. So, I’m looking forward to seeing the same gas grievances being lobbed at the current presidency. I’m positively certain this will happen imminently.
ETA: Also, the price of eggs is still up. Didn’t this administration run on bringing those down “immediately” as well? What’s the timeline here? As a concerned citizen who is an everyday hard-working American, all I’m seeing is a lot of broken promises. (NOT GOOD!)
"He also glossed over his own responsibility for handing Trump so much power. As majority leader, McConnell maneuvered to deny Barack Obama a rightful supreme court pick, and rushed to give Trump another in the final weeks of his first term in 2020. It made McConnell the architect of the current ultraconservative 6-3 majority on a panel that critics say has been overly loyal to Trump, not least last year’s astonishing ruling giving him immunity for criminal acts."If only ther ewas some turtle ass motherfucker out there who could have done something about this say back in 2021

What say the Callas and Ramarousers of the board? Wait. We already know. Nevermind.I really have cut back my intake of political news drastically. I also avoid this thread of daily current events for the most part. One of the podcasts I follow is the Daily Beast. The episode today was, This is How Trump Just Got Triply Humiliated. Talking about all the leaders in China making fun of him with the big military parade. But it was a couple of minutes of the conversation that David Rothkopf said something that really nailed it. He was speaking about how China is really moving fast into the future with renewable energy and the cities are ultra modern. He said of course there are major issues there that are terrible, but as far as military and infrastructure they are leaving the US in the dust. I copied this from the transcript.
“The United States has lost the plot where we're trying to turn back time, we're trying to get rid of voting rights, and we're trying to get rid of immigrants who drove it. And we're trying to push away the smartest people in the world. And say: ‘don't come study at our schools.’ And we're shutting down scientific research, and we've got people in charge of our health agencies who don't actually believe in the medical science of the 18th century. And we get people in charge of our, you know, environmental agencies who don't actually believe in the science that every scientist in the world believes. And so we're going backwards fast, and they're moving forward, and the world is looking at it going: ‘do I want to be associated with going forward?’”
Now, I grew up in 5 different States and lived in Europe for most of 7 years - during my mid 20’s to early 30’s (1985-1991). No, I wasn’t in the military. I still have loads of friends and colleagues around the globe from England, Ireland, Scotland, to mainland Europe and also Australia, Thailand, as well as ties to Latin America. All - everyone - of those folks are either horrified of, or laughing at, the U.S. and our dumbshit populace and our political system, and our stupid healthcare, guns, educational systems (but not our Universities), etc. etc.
They laughed at our getting our panties in a wad because Bill Clinton got a blow job. They laughed at Ronnie Raygun. They laughed at Bush 1 and laughed harder at Bush 2. And Trump? Hahahaha, don’t get them started on Trump and MAGA. They actually liked Obama, and some of the laughter actually paused for those 8 years.
We’re moving backward alright… and we certainly aren’t “making America great again”. We’re fucking idiots and we get everything we’ve got coming to us. And the rest of the world knows we’re a laughingstock.
