I miss the days when this would have been a career-ender and not a career-booster.

This isn’t just irresponsible dalliance with alternative histories. This is who they are. The thought leaders on the right have soft pedaled neo Nazis for several years, and now they’re starting to publicly say the outright endorsements, which used to be reserved for backrooms.

We know miller is a Nazi. Vought likely as well. Loomer has more influence than Rubio, and she’s blatant about “Hitler did some good things” and Joseph McCarthy was right! Expect more and more chatter about the Nazis and PNF/NFP “good things” over the next year. Prediction - by the midterms there’s a consistent “maga” symbol that gets deployed on military personnel, might it be hats, badges, vests, or, dare I say, armbands. These people are seeking violence through their whitewashing.

“… In just the first seven months of Trump’s second presidency, she successfully lobbied Trump to end Secret Service protection for Joe Biden’s children. She has pushed the president to fire six members of his National Security Council, remove three leaders at the National Security Agency, end an academic appointment at West Point, fire the director of the National Vetting Center at the Department of Homeland Security, dispatch an assistant U.S. attorney in California, and remove a federal prosecutor in Manhattan. After Trump’s intel chief stripped 37 current and former national-security officials of their security clearance Wednesday, she claimed credit for first labeling 29 of them as threats to Trump….”

More fascism.

I have not have time to read but it sounds like the prohibition on Eric and Don Jr serving a leadership role of the companies in NY may stand.

I know nothing about how legal rulings work, but does this mean that the monetary penalty is dismissed, but the actual liable verdict remains in place?

Everything about the judgment stands except for the monetary penalty, and that will be remanded for a re-calculation (unless the state Supreme Court -- confusingly called the Court of Appeals in NY -- affirms the penalty).

Not exactly. The court only ruled that the $500M fine was excessive under the 8th Amendment. Otherwise it upheld Engeron in every aspect -- and since the 8th is not NY law, the appeals court upheld all of Engeron's rulings on NY law.
Isn’t it Engoron? At least your spellcheck doesn’t change it to cock

It is. That was no spell check mistake. I just didn't know the spelling, and since I don't watch news for the most part, I've never heard it pronounced. That's the one downside, I think, to my all-read, no watch approach.

On the other hand, no TV means more time to read about post-modernism. Baudrillard anyone?
