So not counting ILLEGALS (who can’t vote) is rigging the system, but flooding the country with ILLEGALS to increase blue numbers isn’t rigging the system. That’s some fucked up liberal hypocrisy and stupidity. One more time for you, ILLEGAL. Meaning no right to be in the country so not counted.
Again, why do you believe that all of the immigrants would vote Democrat when the last election demographics would indicate that to be wrong? This is the same talking point the pubs were using when I voted for bush. It's not defendable, but it makes the cult feel good about the right wanting to keep citizens from voting based on a made up myth. But we know that much of the cult is beholden to myth, so it's understandable that the same myth is working 20 years later.

No matter how it is spun, the bottom line is that there is very little fraud and the real goal is to minimize who can vote by keeping voting eligible citizens from being able to easily vote.

C'mon man,

The GQP is a minority party representing a minority of Americans. What would you recommend they do in order to stay in power ?

Article I Sections 2 and 3 helps them out as a minority party , but sometimes that advantage is not sufficient to win elections so would it not make sense for GQPers to beat the drum about non existent voter fraud and implement strategies to deny and suppress the vote ?

The question is , do you really want the country to be governed by a majority party that promotes policies that a majority of the country supports ?

It is true that the GQP has been a horrible governing party for decades when it comes to improving the lives of working and middle class families, but maybe it makes sense to have a party in charge that makes sure the top 10% maintain and expand the wealth gap between the beleaguered rich and the rest of America.

Callatoroy knows what I am talking about 😏

Because this is a Fox News article,I looked for a rebuttal article in leftist media but couldn’t find anything to discredit it so I’m going to say it’s likely believable. Of course I’m open to retract that if anyone has evidence to the contrary. This is one of your rising stars and a possible 2028 potus candidate hopefully.

You give credence to the fox news report because you can't find a contravening story highlighting how functional Rep Crockett's office environment is?

Using your logic, calla, exactly when did you stop beating your wife?

Yep, as it rigs the system in favor of dims? He might get denied by the courts but it’s worth the effort.

Actually, it doesn't, because according to 2022 data from the Pew Research Center, some of the states with the highest percentages of illegal immigrants in their populations are ones that regularly send Republicans to Congress and award their electoral votes to Republican candidates. Nevada, a swing state, tops the list with 5.8 percent of its population being undocumented. But Trump’s home state of Florida comes third, with 5.2 percent. Arizona and Georgia—two other swing states—are all in the top fifteen on the list, with undocumented immigrants making up between 3.2 and 3.5 percent of their populations.

But the biggest kahuna is Texas, coming second overall with an undocumented population percentage of 5.4 percent. That’s enough people—some 1.6 million—for Texas to lose two House seats and Electoral College votes if Trump’s plan comes to fruition. Imagine how mad Republicans would be if he makes them draw two new sets of district maps back-to-back and they end up with barely anything to show for it.

C’mon, you don’t actually think this census gambit is on the up and up. Zero - Zee Row - chance the Trump census con results in anything short of ten extra seats for gqpers.

Oh, absolutely, I totally expect maximal GOP ratfuckery. That's a given at this point.

I think that an all-out gerrymandering pissing match would look something like this:

Texas eliminates 5 Dem seats. California responds by eliminating 5 Pub seats. Missouri eliminates a Dem. Maryland eliminates a Pub. Florida eliminates 5 Dems. Illinois, Oregon, and New York eliminate 5 Pubs. Ohio eliminates 2 Dems. Indiana and Nebraska eliminate 2 Dems. That would leave a net GOP gain of 4 seats. Maybe California could get really petty and draw out 9 Pub seats, or maybe Washington and New Jersey get involved, too.

While the gerrymandering and census issues are connected, they are two separate levers. Re-running the census will result in an artificial deflation of populations in CA, WA, NY, IL, OR and artificial inflation of the populations in TX, AL, MS, OH, TN, etc. The seat stealing isn’t just gerrymandering, it’ll occur by administratively disappearing hundreds of thousands of liberal citizens.
