My Mom’s cognitive deterioration over the last 3-4 WEEKS has been ACUTE. Terrifyingly acute. Scary as hell.
She is 86 and Trump is 79; so, she’s a good bit older. She’s a shitload physically fitter than Lardass Trump…..being physically fit doesn’t prevent dementia……..

My point is that a few weeks ago, Mom never wondered if I was me or my brother (2 weeks ago, she asked), and she wondered who was my Dad…….tonight, she asked, “Is he your Dad?”

Trump’s dementia decline is comparable to my Mom’s.

I remember meeting politically active Duke students in 1985-86 trying to recruit volunteers for David Price’s first Congressional Campaign.

J.B. was one of those d00kies. He was an OBESE guy driving a 3-Series BMW. Nice guy. Not spoiled. If you didn’t put 2-and-2 together, you didn’t realize he was likely the wealthiest guy at d00k.

He wanted to learn how campaigns worked. He learned that one of my best friends was Terry Sanford’s travel aide…..he didn’t want to use his wealth to be “that guy” on a campaign. He wanted to learn and earn his spot…

He’s much more fit (and he’s not fit) than he was in college….

I can identify with you, Zoo

My mom began to show symptoms of dementia in her 60s and I moved her to a continuing care unit after my dad died 5 years later. When I would visit her she thought I was her husband.

by the way I see you were a David Price guy from the get go;)
 




I had been concerned the Trump DOJ would settle this and pay these guys cash as an extra J6 bonus to the Proud Boys like they did with the Ashli Babbitt wrongful death suit … it seems that is not the DOJ approach here.

It seems the Proud Boys thought the Trump DOJ would settle as well.

It could be as simple as the DOJ realized how many other claims they would be paying out if they agree every J6er has a claim for damages (their claims could cite candidate Trump himself about their gross injustice and mistreatment).

I expected the same and am pleasantly (and cautiously) surprised that DOJ has taken a different tack. Of course there’s still time for them to throw the game.
