The U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday said the U.S. will "respond accordingly" to what he called a "witch hunt" against former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, without specifying how.
The remarks came shortly after Brazil's Supreme Court sentenced Bolsonaro to 27 years and three months in prison after being convicted of plotting a coup to overturn the 2022 election.

A new minister in Albania charged to handle public procurement will be impervious to bribes, threats, or attempts to curry favour. That is because Diella, as she is called, is an AI-generated bot.
“… Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is about to begin his fourth term, said on Thursday that Diella, which means "sun" in Albanian, will manage and award all public tenders in which the government contracts private companies for various projects.

The Notting Hill Carnival crowd is vastly people of color, which facial recognition does not work well on. meanwhile a bunch of white, right wing people don't get the same policing.

So it wasn't that spending is an issue, it's that the way it was constructed he couldn't take personal credit for every dime of relief funds?No idea why he lets these linger for a month or more and then does them in batches. But the way he politicizes his delayed approval of disaster funds is super gross.
I get sick of the reality TV president and his approach to be the center of everything and to take credit for everything. He seems to have some real confidence issues to need this much reassurance.
