To tell you the truth I have been growing a bit tired of a 200 year majestic stately White House and have thought for some time we should jazz it up so I'm good with making it gaudy and tacky.

I'm excited to see how Melania will decorate the White House for Christmas this year !

“… Trump’s $200-250 million privately funded ballroom project, demolishing parts of the East Wing, claims no approval is needed, sparking criticism and proposed laws for oversight. If continued without review, Trump would be the first to alter the White House without clear federal or congressional approval.“

Nothing matters.

Nothing matters.
I mean yeah, that's his point. And you are walking into the trap he has laid.

The symbolism here, is "Look at me. I can do anything I want and you are powerless to do anything about it. I can literally do the unthinkable by taking a bulldozer to the nation's most historic national landmark,. See? See? Look how powerful I am. Nothing matters anymore and you should just give up".

He wants you to give up. That's the whole point. You're swallowing the bait.

At the end of the day it's just a building. Don't over-empower his symbolic acts, that's a self own. Eyes on the prize. We're fighting for the soul of our country. One building, no matter how historic, is not going to matter in this fight.

But... your giving up will. That's how we lose.

There is nothing to fight for. Any soul that the United States has is rotten to the absolute core.
