Did the UCF football game thread get deleted?

Looks like the thread creator @Centerpiece deleted it with the reasoning being “the thread had run its course, a generic UNC football thread would be better”…

I can undelete it. Let me know. Related, most forums don’t allow posters to delete threads after so many days because of things like this.

Thanks.

I don't know if it needs to be undeleted, I was just curious in that I couldn't find it.

I would say that posters shouldn't be allowed to delete threads once a reply has been made to that thread.

Yeah, that is a bit odd that the thread starter retains the right to delete the entire thread. I understand deleting a post, but in that case, the second post should start the thread. But maybe that is not technically feasible.

Yeah, most forums don’t even allow users to delete their threads at all. I think 247 allows you to for a while but at some point you lose the ability. I’ve changed it to 24 hours.

That’s still a bit of time but we’re all adults here so.

IMO, the moment Belichick went through that disastrous TV interview with Jordon back in April it was clear that if things didn't go well for UNC football this season then Belichick, his girlfriend, and UNC were going to be the never-ending butt of jokes and relentless mockery and negative publicity in the national sports media. You simply don't hire someone of Belichick's name and stature and open as disastrously as we have and not get lots of negative stories and articles written about you at the national level, and then throw in his weird (and frankly, laughable and/or creepy) relationship with a woman easily young enough to be his granddaughter, and who herself acts strangely and clearly loves attention, and not get lots of crap thrown your way. Maybe it's unfair, but unless we turn things around then we're going to be dealing with this all year long after every loss, like it or not.

Couldn’t find the new UNC football thread. Both OT Trevyon Green and WR Paul Bilups have left the team. Looks like both left due to playing time.

Yeah, I didn't figure him to be the type to have a girlfriend that could be his granddaughter. Seems like something happened to him after he was let go from New England and couldn't get another NFL coaching job. I mean, he's rich and has won 6 Super Bowls. He could have gone one of two ways, wanting to make sure his legacy was cemented by continuing to be successful, or just say screw it, I'm rich and already won six Super Bowls. I think I'll just get more money and do something crazy out of character, like having a 24-year-old girlfriend. Looks like he chose the latter.

Were it not for the fact that I hate that my beloved alma mater and our football program from which I proudly hold varsity letters are being made national laughingstocks, I'd be a lot more amused that Bill Belichick is so completely broken by the fact that nobody in the NFL would give him the time of day anymore that he has become the complete 180-degree antithesis of what made him such a good coach for more than 20 years and it is completely destroying his legacy in real time right before our eyes. It's essentially parody at this point that Mr. "Grumpy Hardass No Nonsense All Business All The Time Keep The Main Thing The Main Thing Do Your Fucking Job With No Distractions Ever" has become so p***y-whipped by some 24-year-old strange that he can't function.

Unfortunately, as UNC alums and fans, we're all going to suffer for this dude's three quarter life crisis AND it's going to cost us $50M+ for the privilege of doing so.
