Found guilty on 2 of 5 counts. Not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering.

I have very unfortunately come to the conclusion that if the questions presented are even remotely complicated, almost all juries decide the case without actually understanding it.I don't think the jury understood the case. After yesterday, I assumed they had reached guilty on the four lesser charges and were deadlocked as to the top charge. I think pretty much everyone assumed that, which is why Diddy was so glum yesterday. It doesn't make sense to find guilty on the top charge without finding that he engaged in sex trafficking. Well, that's the surface level view at least. I didn't follow any of the evidence in the case at all.
I would guess 1-5 years but will he be out on appeal first? He will likely appeal due to the first note from the jury about failure to follow the rules and then maybe a claim that what they will allege was government overcharge with RICO and forced sex trafficking biased the jury to convict on the two lowest charges. I haven’t followed it all that closely though, so not sure if there are other technicalities they may challenge — but I am no criminal (or even trial) lawyer, so am speculating like everyone else here.He faces up to 20 years on the two Mann act convictions. He did go to trial. Anyone have any guesses of what if any jail time he might face?
If he wasn't given bond up until now, why would he be given bond for appeal?I would guess 1-5 years but will he be out on appeal first? Because he was acquitted on multiple more serious charges? Not saying it will or should happen. If he wasn't given bond up until now, why would he be given bond for appeal?
Like I said. Sex workers aren't actually people. Once they consent to do anything there is no limit to what you can do to them. This jury felt the same way as KraftyI haven't followed the case that closely. But I have seen legal experts comment on it that have and have read or were in court for all of it. The prosecutors had an extremely tough case to sell. At the heart of it was his girlfriend, the one seen being kicked and beaten by Diddy, and also the one used and shared by many during the "freakoffs."
Though she clearly did not want or like being beaten, and probably got tired of being passed around and used during the orgies, she clearly was accepting of it for all the money and fame it got her.
I'm not defending the piece of shit. But he wasn't charged with assault. And later and after the fact, the defense had lots of evidence of her personal notes and messages to Diddy telling him she loved the freak offs, and that she loved him completely. That was all AFTER the prosecutions evidence against Diddy. I think she was completely fine with it for the perks, money, and fame, and it was her choice. Then she started to get cut off or something else happened, and she found another or better way to profit. She made choices.
Seems highly unlikely, but there are two circumstances where it might happen, none of which I think apply here:If he wasn't given bond up until now, why would he be given bond for appeal?
Was she a sex worker or his girlfriend? I do know there were prostitutes brought in for the orgies (a misdemeanor) unless always in Nevada. Was there evidence of abuse or conspiracy against them? I honestly don't know and did not think so. I am pretty sure the girlfriend was the heart of the prosecutions case.Like I said. Sex workers aren't actually people. I think that when your argument rests on the fact that she was compensated for participating in these actions, and tried to assuage the concerns of the powerful psychotic man pimping her to his friends and beating her that she was loyal and not at all unhappy, then the line between "girlfriend" and sex worker to be a distinction with no difference. Was she a sex worker or his girlfriend? I think Cassie and the other woman were likely the girlfriends. At least it didn't seem like the prosecution proved the case that they were paid prostitutes. She certainly did receive a great deal of value with the money and fame, and also had sex with Diddy and others, but I don't think it was ever proven that it was quite that direct of a transaction. Was she a sex worker or his girlfriend?
