This. The tragically economically illiterate American electorate directly blamed the Biden admin for any and all economic hardships without consideration for nuance and exogenous factors. The same standard has to be applied to Trump.
I fully agree that the same standard should be applied to Trump. Whether it actually will be is a whole separate question.

“… The Chinese artificial-intelligence upstart has trained high-performing AI models cheaply—and without the most advanced gear provided by Nvidia and others. That has pulled the rug from under global companies riding the AI wave, including chip makers, infrastructure suppliers and power stocks, as investors question the outlook for AI spending.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite tumbled 3% after the opening bell, putting it on track for one of its worst days in years. Nvidia fell more than 12%, while Microsoft slumped around 4%. Bonds rallied, and bitcoin sank as investors sought safety. …”

Interesting article in Jacobin. I’d never heard of this boycott. I’ve realized I’m kind of doing this myself by abstaining from meat for 90% of my meals. Especially red meat. Dollars go a lot further on tofu, beans, and lentils. My digestive system and overall health are thankful too lol.

Does anybody actually hear anyone complaining about egg prices? I hear complaints about groceries in general but not eggs in particular. A quick Google search yielded more complaints about egg complainers than actual egg price complaints, along with a lot of bird flu articles. I complain more about beef prices personally and end up eating more pork and chicken.

There were a shitload of people complaining about egg prices when Biden was President but it seems to have died down now even though egg prices are substantially higher now than the peak when Biden was in office. I wonder why?

Before the election egg prices were a constant complaint. Every right wing influencer in the world was posting receipts showing eggs (and other groceries) being supposedly insane prices. Shockingly, those complaints largely disappeared the second Trump won.

You can usually get chicken livers for less than $2/lb. at Piggly Wiggly or Food Lion. Highly nutritious and, to me anyway, delicious. That last is obviously a minority opinion, which is fine by me. Less demand keeps the price down. I love me a good pâté...

See, this is where I feel the right wing media machine is absolutely essential to the continued selling of the MAGA agenda. I don't think there is going to be the reckoning on Earth 2.0 that the rest of us who live on Earth Prime are hoping will happen over the next 4 years. And I sincerely hope I am wrong.
