Gas prices here were already crawling up last few weeks but it definitely jumped this weekend and was up 0.10-0.15 cents/gallon this morning from when I was out last night.

$3 /gallon gas ? That's the price of gas when Sleepy Joe left office . Didn't we vote for Trump because gas prices were so high ?
Or was it because inflation was so high when Sleepy Joe left office but the needle hasn't moved since Trump took office ?

Gas was $2.79 for me in WNC on election day 2024. I wrote this down to make sure I remembered exactly what it was.

If you are concerned about safety, cash is king in these crazy uncertain times. I would recommend that you not follow the stock market to see where the economy is headed. The bond market is a better indicator. At this point the bond market is indicating we may be in for a world hurt before the end of the year.

Dow -800 has already retreated after Dow being down over 1100 points earlier today. But there is frequently a lunch lull on heavy trading days, so we’ll see which direction it goes this afternoon.

It will be interesting to see how much damage to energy infrastructure results from this adventure and whether it spontaneously reconstructs itself day after hostilities end. Whenever that is.
