Trump fires Commissioner of Labor statistics, immediatey. Says numbers reported should not be "political."

He's also pulling out his excuse card, and blaming Powell. "Powell should be put out to pasture."

So basically Trump is politicizing our economic data, now. If this takes hold -- and from what I understand, it's pretty hard to fake these reports but who knows -- it will be very bad for the market, and the economy as a whole.

Powell should give a news conference where he says, "we were thinking about maybe cutting rates in response to the weak jobs numbers, but now that it turns out the books were cooked by a Biden appointee. we're considering raising them instead."

A $2 bill for anyone willing to defend the firing of the Commissioner of Labor Statistics, which is a nonpartisan role that only looks at the GODDAMN RAW NUMBERS.

I cannot imagine how even the most conservative voter isn't squirming at the incompetence of this administration.
All the shit they don't bat an eye at and you think they'll squirm over this?

Such a great analogy! I'll have to use it the next time ramrouser comes around trying to tell us about the GOLDEN AGE!

Well, in fairness, Einstein's general relativity is based in part on the postulate that zero g and free fall are locally indistinguishable. And also, gravity isn't really a force. But I take your point.

Today I have slashed Drug prices!!!!!

There is more pressure for the Trump Admin deadline of Sept 29 than you might think. Medicare recipients will discover starting October 1 when they go to annual Medicare sign up that their Medicare Part D drug coverage premium will cost significantly more and potentially cover less due to changes implemented by OBBB.
