My anger with Trump and the people who voted for him has ranged from 5-15 on a 10 point scale over the last fifteen months. I think I broke the 16 threshold today. So absurdly and predictably idiotic -- both Trump and the people who enabled him.

It's hard to believe that the market didn't see this coming. The cessation or degradation of human labor has been the obvious end-game since the beginning of the AI boom.

That post is exaggerated in its assessment of how fast everything falls apart, but it will and we have Trump and fights over trans people and racism and immigration and the dysfunctional government is absolutely helpless to act.

It really is just an old fashioned AI dystopia. Big inscrutable private companies with huge towers and build AIs. A government paralyzed by incompetence and bickering. Psychopaths get control of unfathomably large resources.
