When did he have QB surgery? A buddy of mine (59 years old) had open heart surgery last August, it wasn't QB but they cracked his ass open and acted like it was going to be months before he be able to do much of anything, but he was up and walking the next day and tailgating in Chapel Hill over Halloween for his 60th birthday.
