[It appears the meetings were about fundraising for The New School and/or Minerva University]

“…The New School Free Press found earlier this week that Kerreyarranged to meet with convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein at least five times between 2013 and 2014, according to files released by the Department of Justice.

As Kerrey was employed by the university until the end of the 2012-2013 academic year, at least three of the meetings were arranged by a New School employee, according to the files.

Kerrey told NSFP he did not remember any interactions with Epstein, except a lunch on Feb. 22, 2013 with Epstein and Stephen Kosslyn, an established academic and psychologist. Kerrey said they hoped Epstein would make a donation to Minerva University, which Kerrey and Kosslyn were helping develop at the time….”

THIS IS JUST A RUMOR — gaining traction online but I have not seen a mainstream outlet confirm yet.

The guy is old. Maybe he just had a natural health event (perhaps brought on by stress of coming under investigation).

i'm surprised he lasted this long
Bari has really collected a winning team over there at CBS News. I wonder what right-wing loser she'll get to replace him as a CBS News "commentator"? Maybe that 23-year-old MAGA "social media influencer" that conservatives falsely believe broke the Somali scam story in Minnesota. Or Steve Bannon. Or Chris Rufo. I'm sure that she'll dredge up somebody from the dark web to further sully the network's shattered reputation.

Comer is right about that, but it has nothing to do with DOJ’s failure to release the files. The law Comer’s legislative colleagues passed does not exempt accusations, whether credible or not, from disclosure.
and one of those accusers was interviewed 4 times by the FBI. That suggests to me that the FBI found her to be credible to some extent.

I'm guessing that woman is this one:

Lawsuit and Allegations: A woman using the pseudonym "Katie Johnson" (sometimes referred to as Jane Doe) filed a lawsuit in 2016 alleging that Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein raped her at a party in 1994 when she was 13 years old. The lawsuit containded an eyewitness sworn afadavit.

Based on the provided search results, here is the information regarding allegations that Donald Trump raped a 13-year-old:
Lawsuit and Allegations: A woman using the pseudonym "Katie Johnson" (sometimes referred to as Jane Doe) filed a lawsuit in 2016 alleging that Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein raped her at a party in 1994 when she was 13 years old.
Case Status: The lawsuit was refiled in New York federal court in September 2016 but was subsequently dropped by the accuser in November 2016, with her attorney stating she received death threats.

Credibility Concerns: The allegations faced scrutiny regarding their credibility. A 2016 Revelist report mentioned that the attorney, Lisa Bloom, had to reschedule a press conference because the woman was afraid to show her face, and reporters were unable to verify the existence of the plaintiff. The lawsuit was linked to "Never Trump" activists, and some details in the filing were flagged as suspicio

Denials: Donald Trump and his representatives have vehemently denied all allegations, calling them "disgusting" and "categorically false".
Epstein Files: Recent,, sometimes contradictory, reports from 2025-2026 mention that newly released FBI documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation included allegations of sexual misconduct involving Trump, with some reports claiming they reference the 13-year-old girl's account. Other reports from the same period state that Ghislaine Maxwell told investigators Trump was a "gentleman" and did nothing inappropriate.

This story is a great read about how much the Epstein files have opened the lid on the slimy international influence peddling that Epstein and many of his friends were involved with, including in Mandelson’s case with a ton of Putin directed or influenced money involved.
