To stop the release of potential evidence subject to investigation. And retribution. But mainly whatever it takes to prevent release of those DOJ files, apparently. Why order an investigation into a hoax? Seems wasteful and abusive.

What the fuck is wrong with you?You guys supported Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton so spare me the pearl clutching. Trump didn't leave a woman in a car to drown.
This looks like the classic Zen strategy of "pretend like I know nothing about the context of this situation and assume the Trump admin is acting with a neutral motive when there is a mountain of public evidence that they aren't"Good. I hope Trump investigates every Dem potentially involved and then the next Dem president investigates every Rep who is potentially involved. Get it all out into the open and make the guilty pay the legal and social price for being a sick fuck.
I am not a "legal mind".Any legal minds want to opine on how effective we think this tactic will be?
But it's also a hoax involving only Democrats. So the Dems are creating a hoax to take down other Dems. Why order an investigation into a hoax? Seems wasteful and abusive.
Of all the things MAGA folks should be embarrassed about, the fact they continually fall for the line that every negative bad story about Trump must be a "hoax" is pretty high up on the list. You would think after the thirtieth time or so someone would start to wonder "are there really this many hoaxes directed at bringing down Trump?" or "Should I think about the fact that Trump has an obvious motive for calling every negative story a hoax?" but nope, they just keep swallowing it, hook line and sinker.Crazy that

Not pretending at all. Just let both sides go at it with all the bias and hatred they want. This looks like the classic Zen strategy of "pretend like I know nothing about the context of this situation and assume the Trump admin is acting with a neutral motive when there is a mountain of public evidence that they aren't"
I see it a little differently. I truly believe there were millions of Trump supporters who thought in late 2024, against all odds, that Trump is a good person. Many of the people who voted for him knew he was a bad person, but a lot of them did not. I don't think ANY of them still think he's a good person. The ones who still support him do so knowing that Trump is an absolute garbage dump of a human being. So I don't think those Trump supporters actually believe him when he calls every negative story a hoax. They're just totally fine with supporting a liar.Of all the things MAGA folks should be embarrassed about, the fact they continually fall for the line that every negative bad story about Trump must be a "hoax" is pretty high up on the list. At some point, after looking in the rearview mirror to see the cars you’ve passed crashed on the side of the road time and time again, it seems that you would eventually realize that it’s not everyone else who is the bad driver; it’s you.Of all the things MAGA folks should be embarrassed about, the fact they continually fall for the line that every negative bad story about Trump must be a "hoax" is pretty high up on the list. Next time I get a speeding ticket, I'm just gonna claim it's a hoax and take that all the way to court. If it works for Trump, it should work for everyone.Of all the things MAGA folks should be embarrassed about, the fact they continually fall for the line that every negative bad story about Trump must be a "hoax" is pretty high up on the list. Hello. Prepare to be (yet again) disappointed.
Once again, do you REALLY think that if there was incriminating and explosive evidence about Trump in the Epstein Report Biden would have found some way to leak it to the press? It's not like the Biden Administration wasn't doing everything possible to put Trump in jail; bankrupt him; and keep him off the ballot in several states but, by golly, they didn't feel right about releasing classified materials in the Epstein Report unless all Is were dotted and all Ts crossed? If it's as bad as y'all are fantasizing it is then it would have been the "game changer" the Dems were looking for to take Trump out.
Likely some embarrassing info about Trump and his friends and allies will come forward by the release but don't think the Dems and their allies are clean as a whistle on this issue.
I disagree; I think it's more nuanced than that. I think you can largely divide Trump supporters (and I mean actual supporters; not every person who voted ofor Trump) into at least three buckets in this respect:I see it a little differently. #3 is the very large percentage of Trumpsters that I know..I disagree; I think it's more nuanced than that. I think you can largely divide Trump supporters (and I mean actual supporters; not every person who voted ofor Trump) into at least three buckets in this respect:
I think you are significantly underrating, in particular, that there are still millions of people in bucket three. They are stupid, gullible, brainwashed (often through the vehicle of religion) or maybe all of the above, but there absolutely are still millions of people who think Trump is a champion for good standing tall against the forces of darkness.
- Realized long ago that Trump is a scumbag, but either don't care because they think his election furthers their personal interests (HY2012) or actually love and relish that he's a scumbag (ramrouser)
- Were naive enough to either think in 2024 that Trump was a scumbag or not really form an opinion on it, but now realize he's a scumbag but will rationalize it
- Still truly, honestly believe to this day that Trump is not only not a scumbag, but is righteous, and is a champion against the forces of evil in the world (Dems/leftists/whatever).
