The law has already been passed. The next step is to find someone with standing (not easy) to go to court to challenge the DoJ's compliance with the law. Nothing more for Congress to do at this point.

In a functional government, impeachment proceedings against a number of folks should be the next step.

I think they already blew it with this trick when they showed Trump with four blacked out females. An unblacked out photo came out and it turns put all four were adults.

To me this is a sign we are fully in an authoritarian regime. This is Trump telling the judicial and legislative branches that he is going to do what he wants to do and there is nothing they can do about it.

But this is also completely predictable. Anyone who thought we were going to get anything in this release is living in a fantasy land.

I would love it if the courts ruled that the release of the Clinton photos shows some political bias and therefore an independent commission needs to handle the release and redactions.

There has to be some way to use the intentional selectivity against the DOj.
 
Real Question: If the full, unredacted story of the part of St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago's extra-marital sex life that was Epstein adjacent was released, then I don't think it would move the needle one iota among his base. Exactly who does St. Donald think he is actually keeping in the dark about his bizarre sexual fetishes. His "I can do anything I want" attitude that includes sexual escapades are a feature to his base, not some hidden flaw that must be tiptoed around. Anyone who is still capable of being shocked by the depravity of St. Donald hasn't voted from him since November 1996.
