Sorry, I try really hard not to start new threads and I know there's a great one on all things Epstein-related, so feel free to merge. But I deeply worry sometimes that in this Flood the Zone world, we miss the things that are really telling. So I want to be sure we acknowledge this one.

Today, the president of the United States, the putative leader of the Free World, the commander in chief of the greatest military ever assembled, volunteered this information:

"Trump said 'for years, I wouldn’t talk to Jeffrey Epstein' because 'he stole people that work for me,' the president told reporters Monday during his visit to Scotland."

To be clear, Jeffrey Epstein pled guilty on Florida state charges to sex trafficking minors, and he died in his New York jail cell after being charged with federal sex trafficking crimes.

I would just like for everyone to imagine for a moment if ANY of the 45 men other than Trump who have served as president of this great country had said that he stopped talking to a convicted sex trafficker because that person "stole people that work for me."

George Washington?

Abraham Lincoln?

Franklin Roosevelt?

Ronald Reagan?

Bill Clinton?

Barack Hussein Obama?

Those six words uttered in this context, even in the absence of any other indiscretions, would have ENDED the public careers of any president before Donald J. Trump.

If you disagree, prove me wrong. Ram? Calla? Pandemic? Prove me wrong. You won't, because you can't.

Trump is a weird and creepy dude who says weird and creepy things... nothing really out of the norm about this statement...
They're all weird and strange and creepy as hell - that's why the whole "they're weird!" line of attack was working so well last year, until Democrats suddenly stopped using it. Walz was spot-on when he said that, and you could tell that it was really getting under their skin, because it was true.

Stole them to do what, exactly?
What were they doing for trump, and what did they do for Epstein?

I'm just not seeing why you think this is such a big deal. Trump is speaking with his usual bluntness.

Did you really expect Trump to say: "Mr. Epstein's actions constituted a tortious interference with my employer/employee contractual relationships by his wrongful inducement, solicitation and hiring of my Mar a Lago employees." "Accordingly, I ceased my personal and professional relationship with Mr. Epstein."

I think people are drawn to Trump precisely BECAUSE he doesn't sound like a politician/lawyer who carefully crafts and focus group tests his language.

At the time Trump ceased his relationship with Epstein he had not been charged or convicted of any sex trafficking charges. I will note that MANY famous and wealthy people continued to publicly associate with Epstein after he pled guilty to soliciting and procuring minors for prostitution in 2008 and was a registered sex offender:

Noam Chomsky
Woody Allen
Lawrence Summers
Bill Gates
Leon Black
Leon Botstein
Mortimer Zuckerman
Ariane de Rothschild
Prince Andrew
Reid Hoffman
Peter Thiel
Thomas Pritzker
William Burns
Kathryn Ruemmler.....among others

The timing of this Trump tidbit reveal is interesting. I think the day before or so, that Michael Wolff claimed that Epstein believed that it was Trump who told the authorities about Epstein's trafficking. The reason being was that the two had a falling out over a property that Epstein was going to buy, but Trump went behind his back and bought and sold it to the Russian man. This might be the same property that's been talked about thru the years as an example of Trump doing business with the Russians. Seem like Trump made 50 million or so.

Now, my understanding of Wolff's claim might be way off. But you can be sure that something triggered Trump to bring this up.

Why do you keep calling out these posters? Do you think they are going to have an epiphany and realize Trump is vile, venal, vindictive, corrupt and criminal? These posters are never going to have a good faith conversation and you are just inviting them to troll. I just don’t get the point.
