1995, drove down to Long Beach (a friend of mine had a family house there) with ~5 or 6 friends. We were all seniors in high school, 3 boys/3 girls. We went to the local bar/pool hall, AFAIK it was the only place to hang out in all of Long Beach. As soon as we walk in I can see there might be problems, the place was packed with nothing but local rednecks, all of their heads turned when we walked in. We kept to ourselves and went and played a game of pool, while we're playing we start hearing Ric Flair "woo's". We quickly realized we needed to GTFO of the place. The establishment was named "The Deck" and it, true to name, had a massive deck at it's entrance. Around 20 of the locals had moved outside to the deck, we had to walk by them when we left. The deck was a 2nd story one and I was bringing up the rear of our group. As I took my first step down the deck I heard someone say "Hey man, let me ask you something". I stopped, and began to turn...all I saw was a huge fist about an inch from my face. I got sucker punched by a 30+ year old grown man (I was 17), he was wearing purple shorts and a "ONE WAY" street sign shirt. We legitimately did nothing to antagonize anyone, just were not welcome in that place.
My friends were getting chased in the parking lot buy some guys with tire irons, we all managed to run to the car and get out of there. Broke my nose....had to wear a nose cast to a high school dance. I'd like to see where that fatass redneck is now.
