It's the passing the bar thing. Graduating law school is just part of the process.

I have a friend that was on the Board of Law Examiners in NC for years. After some of the stories I heard, I'm not totally surprised. Some pretty shaky people get past that as well.
My former FIL passed the bar and “practiced” law in rural Kansas back in the 80s-90s. He never attended law school and was self taught

Reading law instead of going to law school was once fairly common. Apparently you still can in at least four states.

Yes, there are a few states where you can take the bar exam without graduating from law school. Specifically, California, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington allow individuals to qualify for the bar exam through a "reading the law" or apprenticeship program, where they study under a practicing attorney or judge instead of attending law school

I think it still true in Wisconsin that if you graduate from UW or Marquette Law -you good to go-no bar exam
Back in the 90s there was still a Judge in NC -last name Jones, down east somewhere, that never went to Law school
I only know because his son got a political patronage job in my Dept and he told us

The Mayor of Westernport, Maryland, is speaking out about the federal government’s refusal to approve disaster assistance after devastating floods in her town.

Maryland was notified last week that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) had denied Maryland Governor Wes Moore’s request for a disaster declaration.

...

Mayor Hamilton agrees with Moore. She says her town met all criteria for disaster aid, and she believes this was a political decision.

“I’m a republican,” says Hamilton. “We’re a red part of the state they supported Trump. I think that’s where a lot of people are feeling angry that he’s turned their back on a part of the state that was very supportive of him in the election.”

"Don't get me wrong I am proud of my vote for punching people in the dick, I just don't understand why my dick is being punched."

sorry that cam eout wrong, I meant to say:

"I am voting for the guy who wants to get rid of the cheap labor that keeps my business afloat, but doesn't he understand by musiness is going to sink when he does what he said he would do?

Trump-Supporting Contractor Burned After Immigration Raids Scare Away Half His Workers

"We're supportive of what the president is trying to do. But the reality of it is our industry has to have the Hispanic immigrant-based workers in it," said the CEO of an Alabama construction firm.

Hate to say it but I'd like to see the video of that...
You cant even tabulate the irony of that article. The attack was "unprovoked"....well maybe the buffalo knew he was about to be murdered so it was self defense.

The dead man "spent every spare second with his daughter"....well except all the time he spent globe trotting murdering animals for sport.

The only issue I have with the situation is that the article indicated he was killed instantly. I find that part a little sad. He should have gotten more of his money's worth from the experience.

Unless the buffalo’s horns hit his heart or a major artery or vein, the guy likely suffered for a good long time……stomach wound…..traumatic injury/injuries from a massive collision…..broken femur that lead to blood loss and shock…..lung damage……

The “he died instantly” is to assuage his family, friends, and maybe lawyers.
