Wait, did he really claim that picture was of him acting like a doctor?
 
Modern maga “Christians” have to explain away 1. Trump replacing their Lord with himself and 2. Trump’s lie and/or hilarious level of ignorance that he did not know that was a depiction of Jesus. Is this the lie they will finally care about? Nah, Trump is just engaging in locker room!
 
Fifty years from now the decision of so many Christians to tie themselves hand and foot to the Republican Party - and in particular to Trump and the MAGA movement - is going to be seen as a disaster for American Christianity and a key moment in the decline of church membership and the gradual withering of its power, especially in politics. In most other Western countries Christianity has been in sharp decline for generations, since the First and Second World Wars shattered many people's faith in those nations that god was on their side or their nation's side. Many of those nations are now mostly secular. And I do believe that America is on a steady path towards something similar, we're just several generations behind in that movement. But the unholy alliance between Trump & right-wing "Christianity" is going to keep moving America along to the same destination, imo. These people are destroying their own golden goose.

I think the fact they tied themselves to MAGA says all you need to know about who these people really are. Also who most white Christians really are.
