Now you see why most people choose not to behave the way you do.You must be a miserable person. This is a fun thread that also happens to honor black entertainers and characters.
Are you capable of having any fun in your real life or do you act like you do on here?
The character was hilarious. Also played the flight engineer in space camp and was briefly one of the Daniel san's opponents in the tournament montage of the first karate kid.
That jostled my early teen memory. What a bad, good movie.
Lamar was an interesting character for the time. The vast majority of time, when 1980s comedy flicks portrayed gay people, they did so in a negative, denigrating way. There was a lot of homophobia where certain characters would find themselves in a position where gay characters would pursue them against their will and they would need to escape the unwanted advances. Gay characters were often made the butt of cruel jokes that the writers were trying to pass off as acceptable jokes. And most of the time those were the only purposes the gay characters in those roles would serve. After the brief moment they served their purpose, they weren’t otherwise seen again, unless there was a reprisal of the gag.
Same here. And that was back when HBO and the other movie channels played the same movie over and over at various times throughout the day, so I watched it repeatedly quite a bit! That jostled my early teen memory. What a bad, good movie.

I was friends with a family that had a three story lake house practically next to where I lived. They had a son who lived there year-round who had no problem with me going to the always unlocked house and going up to the third floor to watch what seemed like a hundred different VHS movies they had on some fancy big screen tv that had a fold out mirror that then reflected back on to a big screen. Anyway, I watched Conan, and Highlander, and Cannonball Run, and so many movies over and over at that house. Listened to Phil Collins and Bruce Springsteen records on their record player, played pool on their fancy pool table. That family was so good to me, and being in such a big house was like being in another world.Same here.
