Favorite SNL skits thread

In those skits, yes. Actually, I like Kenan overall. He's not the funniest cast member, but he's consistently a part of really funny skits.

In the 2 Washington's Dream skits, I think Kenan repeatedly asking about the fate of black slaves while Washington prattles on is the only funny parts.

One of my favorite political one - the race to avoid being the Democratic candidate that gets destroyed by George Bush in 1992. Each candidate arguing why they should not be nominated. Keifer Sutherland, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartmann, Kevin Nealon. It is nerdy and (to me) hysterical as each candidate says why they are terrible candidates but the others are awesome and should be nominated. This one gets me every time.

My other favorite (I seem to like big ensemble sketches) is the Napster Hearings sketch where they interview One hit wonders.

If there's a universal definition of "guilty pleasure," it would be those segments. So, so wrong, but tears-in-the-eye hilarious.
These guys are good but I think Norm is the greatest weekend host... of course he was fired for his parody reports offending everyone...RIP Norm

... keep watching these and tell me he is not the greatest

I get it, and agree those guys were great. But there's something about the chemistry between Colin and Che that makes me watch Weekend Update even if everything else about the show sucks. I can't remember the last time I thought that segment was anything less than hilarious.

I'm an old codger that does enjoy the soft comedy weekend with Colin and Che, but I don't bend over laughing like I did with the edgy Norm McDonald who held back no punches. Of course, I realize that was back then in the old days, and even then Norm was fired for

Colin and Che are good at light hearted joking, but Norm was the best at humor that also sent a message
