As someone who lives in Kansas and followed the story closely, when that police chief raided a newspaper and it made national headlines in Marion... there is nothing the press loves more than digging into stories like this.

The city is wobbling a bit for sure. Was speaking with a city employee yesterday (hates Adams with a white hot passion) and his point was that a paralyzed city government is not a bad thing right now - they can’t actively fuck anything up.
