Now, I'm not saying liberals need resort to outright lying like conservatives. But there's a lesson to be learned here.

You want my opinion, this - combined with the fact most incumbents across the globe lost post-pandemic - is why Kamala lost. Frankly, I don't think it would have mattered who the Democrats offered.

So we learn the game is to flood the zone. How do we do so?

I say we start by going directly to every bro podcast there is. Rogan, certainly. Hell, maybe even the most deleterious ones too. Start some of our own that are pretend "bro" pods.

There is truth here. You're not wrong. Hate sells. Shit sells. Confusing the electorate until they choose tribalism for lack of anything else wins.

The problem is that this does not come naturally to liberals, I think. It sure as hell doesn't come naturally to me. I'm a liberal because I'm motivated by love, not by hate. Well, that and I also value truth. So I'm going 0-2 on this strategy. Fortunately, nobody is counting on me to do the messaging.

I'm not a big social media / podcast guy but I did see something from Brian Tyler Cohen along these lines, especially as it relates to growing left leaning new media to recapture some portion of Gen Z males who have been radicalized by right wing online bro culture.

You're absolutely right, Super. Liberals want to give people healthcare. Conservatives want to give them, hell, I have no idea what. But not healthcare.

In truth, I am a socialist, but I realize it doesn't sell in America, as dumbed down as we are. But I'll tell you this, there's a lesson to be learned from socialists. You have to create a new culture. Only way such a thing would work.

So, maybe a little hook and crook too. But no need to go full conservative. Just flood the zone. I don't know what that looks like. I'll leave that to my betters. But we must force American media, in all its iterations, into a more favorable position.

A good starting point would be to cut CNN segments with conservatives like Scott Jennings short, and just call them out on their bullshit. Raise hell. If they want to cut liberals out from there, then so be it. But it will be on video for posterity, and the podcasters can do the rest. "Oh, we're poor victims! Oh, the big, bad world out to get us!" That sort of thing.

Again, it's not why Democrats lost this election, but it is a good point. Democrats already fighting with one hand tied behind their backs with the Electoral College. It's clear now that they need to get into the media game. No more knocking on doors.

NC now ranks X (46?) in GDP % spent on Public Education

Do you consider your media sources lying about Biden’s condition and intentionally altering video and distorting context to be lying? I mean if they had reported it when it became obvious rather than trying to cover it up you would have had ample time to select a much stronger candidate and likely won the election. Don’t be hypocritical and act like your media is more virtuous. You were manipulated, again.

What gets me is that Steve Bannon knows what he is doing will ultimately devolve into a failed political system. The dems may be forced to do as you say and ultimately our political system will break. Even if we survive Trump.

That is, at best, a long term strategy. Short term we are beyond that being effective.

Well it could help win an election (if we have one) but it won't defeat MAGA.

They have to experience the awfulness at a level that can't be ignored. And they will. We all will.
