The crazy thing about this is that if they do use the machines to alter voting results (and I am not making any claim that they will), it would be hard for democrats to make any sort of claim about it because of the history of Republicans saying the machines have been hacked.

It is actually kind of an evil genius play.

Claim you opponent did something bad.
Opponent defends against baseless claim.
Do the bad thing yourself.
