You've got it backwards - It doesn't expand to cis women from trans women. Most hatred of trans women is inherent, fervent misogyny - Because why would someone who could be a man ever want to be something as weak and ruinous as a woman?
They project onto the behavior of trans women their own misogyny - the desire to hurt and exploit and to dominate women. It's why they are all convinced that trans women want to be bathroom predators or were men's athletes who couldn't hack it so they decided to pick on an easier group of people.
Note that they have almost no issues with transmasculine people. Because that makes sense. If you could be a man then obviously that's the right choice.
It is misogyny all the way down.
