No, there's funny and there's unnecessary. I like plenty of dark humor, but there are lines that shouldn't be crossed.

Some posters are ok with anything and that typically does come from who they are in life.

In re: Ron White. By Ron White, I mean the comedian from Texas. My wife and I have seen him several times in concert. We love his TV specials. But his live concerts definitely take it up a notch.
ETA: At one concert in Charlotte, while walking to the entrace, my wife and I passed his RV. He was sitting at an open window, with a bottle of bourbon and a full glass in front of him. I wondered if that was a photograph taped in the window. Then, he picked up the glass and took a swig. Not a photo taped in the window.

Old, but still good.

Immanuel Kant was a real pissant
Who was very rarely stable.
Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar
Who could think you under the table.
David Hume could out-consume
Wilhelm Freidrich Hegel,
And Wittgenstein was a beery swine
Who was just as schloshed as Schlegel.

There's nothing Nietzsche couldn't teach ya'
'Bout the raising of the wrist.
SOCRATES, HIMSELF, WAS PERMANENTLY PISSED...

John Stuart Mill, of his own free will,
On half a pint of shandy was particularly ill.
Plato, they say, could stick it away;
Half a crate of whiskey every day.
Aristotle, Aristotle was a bugger for the bottle,
Hobbes was fond of his dram,
And Rene Descartes was a drunken fart: "I drink, therefore I am"
Yes, Socrates, himself, is particularly missed;
A lovely little thinker but a bugger when he's pissed!

Brings to mind my favorite Flying Circus sketch.
