G7 in Alberta

Can he stop that?
I think he can.
Carney is not Trudeau.
Also: Carney has made no bones about bucking Trump.

That said, will Trump have his one in one meetings with a couple of other nations while there? Perhaps. Broker a tariff deal and claim a W? Perhaps.
Will Trump try to turn over the checkerboard and abruptly leave and walk out as in 2018? Probably.
But will that define the entire conference in a negative way for Carney?
I doubt it.
I can see where Carney and the rest will simply laugh this time, while thumbing their nose.
Time will tell.

It’s a thing folks. I know there is a lot of noise today… but G7 is still a “thing” happening this week.
Check out Canadian PM Mark Carney “winking” to his peeps as Trump is speaking about Tariffs.
Sorry. No links. But you can find it if interested.

So Trump is leaving G7 early... AGAIN!
I'm guessing he couldn't get any one on one meetings with anybody. Nor could he broker any tariff deals.
That, and Mark Carney "winking" behind Trump's back - which was caught on tape for the world to see - probably was a deal breaker.
Trump tucks his tail and runs back to Mar a lago while the rest of the big boys and girls of the G7 carry on without him.

He verbally felated for Putin. That was all he was needed for. Go home boy. Send Americans off to die again.

He claims he left G7 to go home and “focus” on Iran vs. Israel.
Yeah. Right. Whatever Orangeman.
Mark Carney will own Trump. I think Canada may want to annex the upper Midwest.

Are we even still in the G7 at this point?
Not when dear leader walks out of the conference after only one day.
We (he) didn’t and won’t participate in any talks, deals, strategic planning on trade, security, or sharing of ideas - which is the whole point of a G7.
So, no, we are not “still in” at this point.

“Trump drew criticism of his own incompetence today at the meeting of the Group of Seven (G7) in Kananaskis, Alberta, in Canada. The G7 is a forum of democracies with advanced economies that includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as the European Union. During today’s meetings, Trump seemed to think the United Kingdom and the European Union were the same thing.

Trump also parroted Russian talking points, telling reporters: “The G7 used to be the G8. Barack Obama and a person named Trudeau didn't want to have Russia in, and I would say that that was a mistake, because I think you wouldn't have a war right now if you had Russia in, and you wouldn’t have a war right now if Trump were president four years ago.”

In fact, the members of the G7 kicked Russia out of the forum after Russian president Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine in 2014. And former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau didn’t take office until 2015.

On Friday, journalist Dean Blundell reported that Washington insiders and observers from abroad had noticed how rarely Trump appears in public and how often he falls asleep when he does, prompting speculation that he is not physically able to do the work of the presidency. Blundell suggested Trump’s team would look for a way to get the president out of the G7 early to avoid exposure.”

Did anyone stop to think that he nailed down 6 big beautiful trade deals in just one day, dropped the mic and now is on his way to take a well deserved victory lap and shoot a 66... no wait check that...shoot a 64 on one of his big beautiful golf courses.

So yes, Trump tucked his tail and ran because he didn’t want to break bread with Zelenskyy.
And no, he didn’t sign 6 big beautiful trade deals EXCEPT Carney has offered trump the opportunity to accept an economic and security deal within the next 30 days.
Notice the bit about Carney making this announcement- not trump. And the wording is more like “pursue negotiations towards a deal… within the next 30 days.”

The key to all of that is trump ain’t holding any cards, and Carney is driving the car. Any negotiated deal will be on Canada’s terms, which in the end will probably be beneficial to both them and the US, but trump is the one bending the knee here.
