I thought Ruben had won, but apparently not. And while he's leading, the race hasn't been called and the margin has been narrowing with additional counting. Anyone have any insight as to what is going to happen here?

I really, really, really want Lake to lose. I thought she was going to be trounced. If she wins, OMG.

All depends on mail in votes for Maricopa and pima which should favor gallego. Rest of the state has pretty much come in or are small counties that won't impact things. 1000005752.png

Gallego was polling at +8-10, but I think we know now that Trump supporters either don't participate in polling or don't provide honest answers.

Lake is a dumpster fire. I REALLY want her to lose and go away.

Trump already got us an underwhelming governor and cost us a chance to have Doug Ducey in Congress.

AZ kept Lake out once. They also kept Mark Finchem and Blake Masters out.

I have faith in AZ voters to keep Lake out again, even though AZ went to Trump.

Might favor him. But remember the composition fallacy. Just because Pima is +23 Gallego doesn't mean the outstanding ballots from there are. It might be a +20 county that is counting its red votes last.

But thanks for this. Let's hope.

Gallego up ~33k with 82% reporting. Maricopa county is releasing more results. Their last 100k release only cut Gallego's lead by 2,100. It's going to be close, but if it's only Maricopa county left to report, I still think Gallego wins.

EDIT: It sounds like there are 450k ballots left and they're in Maricopa county. If Lake is only gaining about 2,000 per 100,000, Gallego still wins.

Gallego increased his lead by 12,000 yesterday. 33,000 up to 45,000. Looks like Maricopa county is going to come through again.

Has this contest been projected by a local station there or something? NBC is still reporting that it's too close to call right now.
Multiple sights have him as the projected winner.

He’s picked up 17k votes over the last few dumps, and she’s not getting the margins she needs based on what’s left. She’s losing ground instead of making it up.

How in the literal hell is Arizona still counting votes
California will be for another three weeks.

Don't you remember 2020? Arizona and Nevada were counting for a week or so after the election and we would get updates on new ballots every day.

I certainly remember it but some of the other states who were a laughing stock in 2020 (Georgia) cleaned up their act and got the votes counted in a reasonable amount of time this go round.

It should not even be allowed to have votes being counted for another 3 weeks.

Thank god. I will feel better when it's called by everyone. What was making me nervous was that the previous dumps from Maricopa were favoring Lake. I remember from 2020 that the later reporting votes from Maricopa were Pub friendly. I think this most recent vote dump puts some of that to ease.
