Garth Brooks accused of sexual assault and rape

Dang, that sucks.

I hope the truth comes out and people get the outcome they deserve.

Garth Brooks? Wtf.
Really. If this is true then his whole persona has been a lie. I was a huge fan of his in the 90s. He was the artist that got me listening to country music. Hard to think he could be a fraud, but I guess people felt the same about Bill Cosby.

More flawed than fraud. All people have some questionable moments in their life. I'm waiting to find out what happened. Is this an isolated incident if it did happen and such things as that. From my POV, I have no reason to form an opinion yet. I don't know anything, my opinion doesn't matter to any body anyway and have no personal knowledge of or concern for anybody involved.

I'm skeptical when someone is raped and then continues to work for the rapist. She was raped and forced to perform sexual acts....and then allows herself to end up in a hotel room alone? Sounds more like a consensual affair gone wrong.
You have it backwards. She ended up in a hotel room alone because he didn’t book one for her and that’s where he ended up raping her.

Hopefully this works. Thinking it is right down Super's lane as well as mine. Folks are who they are. They are us.

Don’t do this. Don’t be that guy.

There's a new genre of music that's a blend of country and rap. It's called Crap... (stole that from somewhere, can't remember where)..

Probably not since I don't think Garth is a Pub.
I will say that this is one issue on which neither party has a clear record or much to brag about. Yes, liberals do tend act more quickly (at least over the past 15 to 20 years) to remove their pols and/or celebrities who are credibly accused of sexual assault or harassment (see Al Franken for starters) and their record in supporting women's rights is certainly superior, but unfortunately there have been a good number of Democratic pols and celebrities over the years who have been credibly accused of sexual assault and harassment. IMO, this issue has much less to do with political ideology than with massive egos and arrogance and the belief that it's OK to prey on the women around you. For example, I always enjoyed listening to Charlie Rose on PBS and was disappointed when he turned out to be a serial sexual harasser, although based on what I read he certainly deserved to be fired.
