I have had a pet theory for about 2 weeks that $4 was a "sticky" barrier stores didnt want to cross and once they did, there would be a pretty rapid increase from there.
Where was this? Highest I have seen in Charlotte was today at $3.99 9/10. So essentially $4.
Corner of East Blvd and South Blvd. It’s consistently the highest price station I drive past regularly.Where was this? Highest I have seen in Charlotte was today at $3.99 9/10. So essentially $4.
That’s another thing. I’ve seen much wider ranges in prices. Gas station up the road not too far from this station had gas at $3.89.
Know the station. But even if that one is a little higher, $4 is hereCorner of East Blvd and South Blvd. It’s consistently the highest price station I drive past regularly.

Maybe. But also maybe not. The American economy is more massive than anyone can comprehend and it takes a lot to completely fuck it. Even moreso for the global economy. We are so fucked arent we?
Yeah, Americans' addiction to using massive land barges and juiced up pickups as daily drivers is really irrational. That JPM map is really something. I was driving around yesterday and really noticed the number of massive vehicles on the road- Suburbans, Tellurides, Tahoes, Sequoias, not to mention full sized trucks. I wonder how high prices will have to go (and for how long) before people start to ditch those.
