Same thing happened when Walz and other Democrats went after them with the "weirdo" charge last year. It did throw them on the defensive and even Trump seemed flummoxed for a few weeks. It's like they're so used to being the aggressors and setting the narrative and keeping Democrats on the defensive that when Democrats hit them back hard and hit them in a way they don't expect it throws them off and they don't know how to respond, at least right away. It's relatively minor in the grand scheme of things, but it is nice to them being defensive for a change.
