Georgetown Biorhythms: Note the 5 pm Start in Chapel Hill

He’s not shy.

I think he’ll be a difference maker before the end of the season.
He is a difference maker now. 12 points, 3 assists a game.

His PT is about to take a nose dive once Seth comes back -- he will likely lose more minutes than anyone.

Hopefully, he can get Zayden's minutes when Seth comes back and Jarin will play the backup 5.

Average of Minute Distribution at present (8-1) = 9 games total

Wilson = 29.4
Veesaar = 31.2
Bogavac = 28
Evans = 25.9
Stevenson = 27.7
Dixon = 16.2
Powell = 17.3
High = 7.3
Brown = 5.0 over six games played
Young 4.1 over seven games played

Trimble = 30.5 over two games played

More minute musings...

Thinking that High, whose minutes have diminished of late already, ought to lose even more time on the court when Trimble returns because the move to give back-up pivot time to Stevenson seems logical. High played 3 last night and 4 vs UK. Powell's minutes will be interesting to watch...they might go down depending on his play and that of Bogavac...but if he can hit at his historical clip and really play some defense it might be Bogavac who sees his time go down...clearly Dixon's are on the rise and they won't all be at the expense of Evans (Coach said last night that he wanted to play them together...and he did).

I like Bogavac-I mean he is literally a man-but I guess he has his limits

I’m not out on Boga at all, think he can and needs to be a steady contributor for this team to reach its ceiling

But I was expecting a bit more polish coming in given his age and experience

I think 25 or so MPG suits him better and along with Seth’s return he will feel less inclined to press things
Yeah. Numbers to this point aside… just by his form and confidence level, he looks to be the most important 3 pt threat on the team. It’ll come.

I agree. Maybe my fault for irrationally hyping him up in my head but I really thought he was going to be an ace up the sleeve that could turn into a top 2 or 3 player on the roster.

To your point though it’s not like he’s been bad by any means. I’m hoping he continues to make strides as he gets used to a different style of basketball.

Did you hear Cory talking about how he had to put his feet on the ground to get up? Really, what a stupid take.
One thing that sort of surprised me was that even after that obvious trip, his coach didn’t sit him down and instead let him keep playing. Back in the day, most coaches would have at least sat a guy for a bit after such an antic. Dean Smith used make a player sit right after being called for a tech even if the call was most likely bogus. I might sound like an old man but we’ve become so much more enabling.

Vesaar’s ability to log big minutes is almost more important than his efficiency. The best ability is availability. And he’s covering for one of our clear weaknesses (front court depth).

It wasn't the dumbest thing he ever said although he said it poorly. The guy called for the foul had his feet well up in the air and the way he had rolled back and then forward, his vision could have been blocked. I get what he's saying because I think he got called for the flagrant because it was too late to call the common which is what I thought it was. I honestly don't think that the guy could see well enough to do it intentionally.

You don’t have to have clear vision to put your foot around where you think his foot will be. A clear look has nothing to do with intention, only has to do with precision.

The way his foot went out to the side and down so quickly, it seemed very clear to me.

Oh, he definitely committed a careless foul and I have no problem with the call since it was too late to call a common and too careless to let go. I'm just not sure about intent.
