Seriously, that would likely be one of the best ways to get rid of Trump. If other nations actually started seizing the assets of wealthy Americans then my guess is that Trump would would be removed from power in one way or another in a remarkably short amount of time. Start bringing real pain to wealthy people and things will happen. Unfortunately I don't think most other nations will actually go to that extreme, but I do think it's one of the few things (other than natural causes) that would remove Trump from power before his term is up.

He's so weak underneath all that bullyboy braggadocio. I really do think that if the EU and Canada make a real show of force to defend Greenland - like permanently stationing some troops there and making it clear they will defend the island from any hostile attempt to take it - then Trump will back down. He'll rage and rant and tweet nasty things about Canada and Europe while he does, but he'll back down just like he does with these tariff threats (aka TACO).

If NATO “permanently” places combat troops in Greenland, that might allow the Trump Administration to “declare victory” - “We were only trying to get Denmark and NATO to step up and defend Greenland. Mission Accomplished. Remember, never take President Trump literally. He’s playing 4th Dimensional Chess when the rest of the world is learning checkers.”

I will take an interpretation that allows Trump to save face. As frustrating as it would be, it is far better than the alternative.

I am not sure that a narcissist nearing the end of his life is going to take that route.

And the Republican majority Congress should follow up on this incident with the impeachment of said narcissist and removal of him from office.
