What does Europe do if he threatens war over Greenland? Will our generals stop this madness? Troops in the field? Armed conflict with all of Europe? Are they willing to fight over Greenland?

I was originally optimistic that Congress would stand up on this issue. But I thought more and came to the conclusion that once Trump puts pressure they will back down as always. That seems to be happening now.

You know, in 2005 during a war games Sweden sunk one of our carriers. They used a Stirling engine diesel-electric submarine which we could not detect. We did take possession of some of their subs to learn from them so that vulnerability has probably been closed but the key is that non-USA NATO is not Iraq or Venezuela. If war broke out they will kill a lot of Americans. We may win but it will be at a price we have not experienced since WW2.

Trump’s arrogance and narcissism isn’t allowing him to see the dangers that lie ahead. Republicans better get off their asses and stand up.

Trump has stated that Greenland is key to our national security. He has also stated that we have to own Greenland because we fight harder for something we own.

Clearly if we accept that having a continued presence in Greenland is of upmost interest for national security, we would not ever willingly give up our presence there and would fight to maintain it. It seems absurd to require ownership to properly motivate us when we have stated how important it is.

I don’t see why MAGAs don’t see this. Do they ever think about things at a deeper level? (I know the answer to that.)
