It’s facetious no doubt but with a kernel of truth to it.
Sometimes an old dog needs to be put down, and not have it’s life of misery prolonged indefinitely. That’s where the U.S. is now. A tired, old dog living a life of misery… which perhaps needs putting down

Would they even do it? I’d like to say if I was active duty and they told me they were going to drop me in Greenland I’d tell them to lock me up I’m not fighting that war. But I’m 48. In my early 20’s with my conservative leanings , maybe I would have I done it.

What will our soldiers do if faced with this insanity?

I think the vast majority of the troops would follow orders to deploy to Greenland. How confidently or willingly they would engage in lethal firefights with NATO forces there, I don't know, but probably still most of them would.
 
As much as I hate Trump with a white hot passion, it’s 10x that much for the Pubs in Congress who do nothing. Sure, some blindly support him, but I’m talking about the ones who know we’re in crazy world right now, and do nothing just to protect their own asses. Insane that we’re at this point in history, with a system of checks & balances in place to prevent this very situation.

Yeah. I can partly forgive people who continued to support him the first 3-4 months but people who supported him after that are worse in ways than he is since at least some of them aren't crazy.

At some point that calculus will change and they will realize protecting their own asses means getting rid of Trump.

A war against Europe would do the trick. Can’t believe it would take that but I think it will.
