If you live in Greenland, at this point is there really going to be that much difference between the two? I mean, either way you're going to be ruled by a narcissistic kleptocrat who will take your healthcare and other benefits, take away your self-governance, occupy you militarily, and rape your land for their own benefit.

ETA: And here's a hint - there's no need for only these two options. The situation can stay the same as it is now and we'll all be much better off.

I can only assume Putin no longer needs viagra after the results of this Greenland psyop on Trump. He's going to destroy NATO and pull all EU attention resources out of Ukraine, while furthering the symbolic civil war inside the US.

Trump is seriously the super-weapon every Soviet dreamed of.
He's an idiot. Full Stop. But if NATO gets destroyed, the Euros aren't going to put their attention on Greenland - they are going all in on Ukraine. They know what matters.

I assume they would be engaged fighting the US at this point.

They aren't fighting anyone anywhere that requires lift. They know deep down the threat to their existence is not the Orange Turd and his minions but their Nextdoor neighbor Vlad and his orcs. I think they hope the US bolsters security in Greenland in a way that they can sell to their constituents and in a way they don't have to pay for,.

Why is there even a need for the US to bolster security in Greenland? Is there some imminent threat from Russia or China? Russia is completely bogged down in Ukraine, so not sure how they could open another front in a region that the US would clearly defend (unlike Ukraine) and China isn't anywhere near Greenland. The whole idea we need to secure Greenland seems completely made up to me.

Two countries thousands of miles away without blue water navies aren't even remotely a threat to Greenland, especially given that it is flanked by numerous countries hostile to Russia and China who DO possess blue water navies. It's one of his most clownish arguments, which is really saying something.
