Louisiana forbids public health workers from promoting COVID, flu and mpox shots

A group of high-level managers at the Louisiana Department of Health walked into a Nov. 14 meeting in Baton Rouge expecting to talk about outreach and community events.
Instead, they were told by an assistant secretary in the department and another official that department leadership had a new policy: Advertising or otherwise promoting the COVID, influenza or mpox vaccines, an established practice there — and at most other public health entities in the U.S. — must stop.

So then the New Orleans Health Department released an official statement in response

You always hear people say "we need to put God/ Jesus back in the classroom." When was God in the classroom previously. I grew up in the 80's in rural NC and God was not in our classroom.
They are talking about indoctrination, not God.

Christian faith is based on a personal faith with your creator, that has never been infringed upon as anyone can still pray in school.

But the snake oil salesmen need the indoctrination to help keep the number of people tithing up for the coming generations.

There's data and studies that show if a person isn't active in the church by age 18, that there is a low probability they become active later in life.

This is a very modern and, for that reason, very myopic take on the constituents of Christian faith.

take it to another thread, please. There could be a lot to discuss on that point, but it's off-topic for this one.

Care to elaborate? I'm not understanding your point in relation to the notion the God was removed from schools.

The idea that God was removed from schools is relatively modern idea, is it not?

Give me the child for the first seven years and I will give you the man. - Ignatius of Loyola (attributed)

The idea that a personal relationship with God is the sine qua non of Christian faith is the modern part.

This is absolutely insane, BTW

Haven’t Quakers believed that for like 400 years?
We also have the only Christian school in North Carolina that was founded specifically for the purpose of integrating (due to the fact that the state was dragging its feet after Brown vs. Board).

You think? Yes he's lost any connection to reality.
I disagree. He is well aware that what he is saying is ridiculous, but you have to rile up the masses to mold things the way they want. The conservative movement is clearly robbing public education to fund their private school donors. If they can indoctrinate a younger generation, it's icing on the cake.

Wtf is happening to our country?
It's the acceptance of tattoos and piercings.

We need to go back to the day when sports players had to wear a suit on the bus to the away games and had to have acceptable haircuts.

I remember that bullshit from my christian school experience. The hair cut didn't have a damn thing to do with who I was or any of my issues.
