Been a long day for me, so not going to make it to Midnight. Happy New Year (early for most of you)!!!!

ps. I will just leave the fireworks on for a couple of hours. You can permanently turn them off in the bottom right otherwise it just shoots off 12 and then stops until you go back to the main page.

Have to say I saw fireworks, for some reason didn’t immediately think of New Year’s because I am spending it at home watching football, and ran to CNN.

A neighbor either shot off the biggest firework known to man or detonated something at midnight that shook my house and rattled the windows like nothing I've heard before. I was watching the countdown with the girlfriend when it went off and it scared us both to death. I seriously thought a house had blown up from a gas leak or something. About the time I got to the front door I started seeing other neighbors turning on porch lights and looking to see what was going on. Right after I shut the front door and took about 3 steps, I heard 5-6 gunshots fired off (presumably in the air and most likely from the same moron).

Learned from a neighbor that it was a cannon that was fired off. I'm assuming it was one of those small cannons but it was out of bounds shooting something like that off in a neighborhood.

Probably like one of those you see fired at football games when the home team scores a TD. But, if you’re not expecting something like that it will scare the shit out of you. It would me at any rate.
